We are in the business of building a transmission superhighway in Kansas with the necessary byways to further enhance reliability of the state and regional transmission grid while lowering the overall cost of delivered energy for Kansas' electric customers. ITC Great Plains was founded in Topeka, Kansas in July 2006 as a subsidiary of ITC Grid Development, LLC., which also was established in 2006 as a subsidiary of ITC Holdings Corp. (NYSE: ITC) in order to address a critical need - bringing needed improvement to the nation's electricity transmission system. ITC Great Plains will redefine and enhance the transmission grid in Kansas and Oklahoma by employing our proven track record of success. Through our team of business and alliance contractor partners, we are able to bring a project from concept to fruition in order to address the region's growing energy needs.
