ITC Great Plains considers itself an asset to the environment and to the communities will serve. Mindful of the effects that our planned construction can have on the local environment and our communities, we are committed to performing a thorough review of all potential construction sites. Visual impacts and sound control are important facets of this evaluation, as are drainage capability, fire control, traffic considerations and community safety. We are committed to actively meeting or exceeding all requirements of environmental legislation. Furthermore, we are committed to meeting with all community leaders, landowners, environmental organizations, according government agencies such as the Army Corp of Engineers and historical and preservation societies to ensure that all stakeholders understand the need for our facilities.

ITC Great Plains actively supports local schools and governments. Our corporate policy will be to encourage municipal development of our right-of-ways for bicycle and pedestrian paths.
