In 2006 ITC Grid Development, LLC, was established as a subsidiary of ITC Holdings Corp. (NYSE: ITC) in order to address a critical need - bringing much needed improvement to the nation's electricity transmission system. Through its subsidiary ITCTransmission*, ITC Holdings has invested over $300 million since 2003 toward improving reliability, reducing congestion and lowering the overall cost of delivered energy in southeastern Michigan. It is this experience and foothold as an industry leader that now allows us to leverage our skills, resources and expertise into other regions of the country.
ITC Grid Development's mission is to partner with various regions across the U.S. to invest in, construct, operate and maintain electricity transmission system upgrades in order to satisfy the energy needs of each local region. We do this by employing our proven track record of success. Through our team of business and alliance contractor partners, we are able to bring a project from concept to fruition in order to address the region's growing energy needs.
