ITC Holdings Corp. (NYSE: ITC), METC's parent company, is in the business of investing in electricity transmission infrastructure improvements as a means to improve electric reliability, reduce congestion and lower the overall cost of delivered energy. ITC Holdings' other subsidiaries include ITCTransmission, ITC Grid Development and ITC Great Plains.

In 2006 ITC Grid Development, LLC, was established as a subsidiary of ITC Holdings Corp. (NYSE: ITC) in order to address a critical need - bringing much needed improvement to the nation's electricity transmission system. Through its subsidiary ITCTransmission*, ITC Holdings has invested over $300 million since 2003 toward improving reliability, reducing congestion and lowering the overall cost of delivered energy in southeastern Michigan. It is this experience and foothold as an industry leader that now allows us to leverage our skills, resources and expertise into other regions of the country.

     ITC Grid
The goal of ITC Grid Development is to partner with various regions across the U.S. to invest in, construct, operate and maintain electricity transmission system upgrades in order to satisfy the energy needs of each local region. We do this by employing our proven track record of success. Through our team of business and alliance contractor partners, we are able to bring a project from concept to fruition in order to address the region's growing energy needs.


     ITC Transmission
ITCTransmission, a subsidiary of ITC Holdings Corp. (NYSE: ITC), is the first independently - owned and operated electricity transmission company in the United States. ITCTransmission is in the business of transmitting high voltage electricity from generating facilities in southeastern Michigan, other Midwestern states and Ontario to distribution substations, serving a population of approximately 4.9 million people in an area comprised of 13 southeastern Michigan counties, including the Detroit metropolitan area. Our operating assets consist primarily of approximately 2,700 circuit miles of transmission lines, approximately 17,000 transmission towers and poles and 155 stations and substations. ITCTransmission operates, maintains and invests in the transmission infrastructure in order to improve efficiency in the flow of electricity, enhance system reliability and lower overall delivered energy costs.
